COMIC NEWS: Dark Horse has some major releases in the near future

November 13th, 2012 by Christopher Williams 1 Comment

Dark Horse publishing will be releasing some big time goodies coming up at the end of November and continuing on into December. Here is a short blurb on each of what you can expect, and of course, if you like what you reading, make sure you hit your local comic shop.

A deadly curse plagues a small town, melting the flesh from its victims–the violent revenge four warriors set in motion when their sacred burial grounds were disturbed for the sake of gold miners’ greed!A new horror series written by Lance Henriksen (MillenniumAliensNear Dark) and Joseph Maddrey (Nightmares in RedWhite and Blue: The Evolution of the American Horror Film), with art by Tom Mandrake.* New horror series by Lance Henriksen!

* Dark Horse horror gets under your skin!

“Mandrake is an artist who deserves to be a superstar.”—Comic Book Resources

“Henriksen’s undeniable talents as a storyteller are on full display here.”—Rue Morgue

In this epic crossover with IDW, Steve Niles’s greatest characters come together in a final showdown.

Cal McDonald only wanted a beer, but what he got was a jaded federal agent and a story about vampires up in Barrow, Alaska. There’s a new vamp in LA, and he’s hell bent on escalating his attacks. When Mo’Lock’s sometimes ghoul-friend is murdered, Cal’s on the hunt . . . for Eben—the longtime protagonist/antagonist of 30 Days of Night.

* Dark Horse and IDW team up on this once-in-a-lifetime crossover!

* Covers by poster artist Justin Erickson (Rue Morgue).

“Fans of the horror genre really can’t go wrong with [30 Days of Night].”—

Horror crossover of the year!

Roy Pulsipher and Nick Walker are dead, but that doesn’t mean their time in law enforcement is over. Both Roy and Nick are officers in the Rest in Peace Department, sworn to serve the Almighty and protect the living from evil’s foul corruption. Their current case has them chasing a ghostly fanatic determined to undo all of creation—a threat with very personal connections to Roy’s past, stretching back a hundred years into a weird, Wild West and Roy’s first day on the job. It’s a twisted history that Nick is only starting to uncover, and one that could have him reconsidering ever joining the R.I.P.D.!

* Prequel to the upcoming feature film starring Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges!

Cowboys versus demons in the Wild West!

* The return of the hit series by Peter M. Lenkov (HawaiiFive-ODemolition Man).

* Written by Jeremy Barlow (Dethklok) and drawn by Tony Parker (Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?)

R.I.P.D will be hitting your local shop on November 28 and expect to see Criminal Macabre: Final Night and To Hell You Ride in shops December 12.
