Hulk smash TV

Guillermo del Toro has given an update on the Hulk TV series.

The Pacific Rim director’s take on the Marvel Comics character was first announced in 2010.

“I have had a couple of minutes with Marvel since Avengers and they have the screenplay for the TV pilot,” he told MTV.

“We’re waiting for a particular writer to do a rewrite on the pilot. That’s where we are right now. But we’re still on.”

Del Toro also voiced his appreciation of Joss Whedon’s Avengers movie, which saw Mark Ruffalo assume the role of Bruce Banner/The Hulk.

“I think Avengers is beautiful,” he said. “They gave a movie like that – that size, that scope – to a guy that has the tone and the pulse of those things dead on.”

ABC president Paul Lee announced back in May that the Hulk TV series will likely form part of the network’s 2013 schedule.

Since getting married to the wonderful and patient woman of his dreams, and becoming a father (of two young boys), he has fallen into the category of 'lapsed nerd' as he is a former RPer, Live Role-Player, and comic book junkie. Science fiction and fantasy books are the staple of his shelves - both in terms of books and movies ... however, he's never seen Star Wars (any of them) but please don't hold that against him! He is currently trying to find a medical cure for the thing called sleep, as it is interferring with the thing he calls life. If you want to know more about him go to
