A new James Bond game is to be released this autumn, Activision has announced.
While 007 Legends won’t directly tie in with the forthcoming feature film Skyfall, it will concentrate on “Bond’s most iconic and intense undercover missions” from across the series’ history.
007 Legends is being developed by Eurocom who were behind 2011’s GoldenEye 007: Reloaded, GoldenEye 007 for the Wii in 2010, 2002’s James Bond 007: Nightfire, and 1991’s James Bond Jr. for the NES.
The story and missions for 007 Legends’ single-player campaign will be drawn from Skyfall, the latest movie in the series that is set for release this October, and five other Bond movies. It has not yet been revealed which of Bond’s other 22 official cinematic outings will feature.
007 Legends is planned to launch this autumn on the Xbox 360 and PS3.
