300 sequel gets new title

September 13th, 2012 by bash Comments

The sequel to Warner Bros. hit 300 has got a new title.

Formerly called 300: The Battle of Artemisia, the new film, which will be released in August 2012, will now be called 300: Rise of an Empire.

The movie, a follow-up to Zack Snyder’s 2006 original (in turn based on Frank Miller’s 1998 comic book miniseries), is expected to tell the story of Greek General Themistocles, who lead Athens against Persian invaders in a battle that played out simultaneously with the Battle of Thermopylae (depicted in the first film).

The Noam Murro film stars Sullivan Stapleton, Eva Green, Lena Headey, Hans Matheson, Rodrigo Santoro, Igal Naor, Callan Mulvey, Jack O’Connell and Andrew Tiernan.

Hi all. I'm Bash and love anything and everything to do with Star Wars. Although I've watched hundreds of movies, read dozens of books and played numerous computer games from other genres and franchises since, nothing has come close to seeing George Lucas' epic for the very first time. I hope you all like the site and come back often.
