Armoured Core 5 release date announced!

January 15th, 2012 by Marc Comments

Armored Core 5 Release Date Announced: Namco Bandai have given the public a release date for their new installment of the Armored Core franchise. Armored Core 5 is wet to release March 20th of this year. It will be for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 home consoles. Armored Core 5 will revolutionize the series and genre of combat mech games with massively mutiplayer online play similar to Chromehounds on the 360. Team based battles are going to be a major part of gameplay. An engaging and in-depth singleplayer mode will keep you entertained as well.

AC5 will focus on tactics and your skill to use your environment to your advantage. Some cases it will be better to bum rush your enemy, but hiding behind buildings may end up being a better strategy. One of the best parts about the Armored Core series is the customization. Making your own mech has never been so satisfying. With more parts to choose from and plenty more to unlock no two mechs will look the same.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
