Deadline are reporting that Steve Pink, director of Hot Tub Time Machine, will both rewrite and direct Bad Santa 2.
Billy Bob Thornton will return as Willie but no confirmation as yet if Lauren Tom, Lauren Graham and Tony Cox will return.
Pink is known for his screenplays to the comedy dramas Grosse Point Blank and High Fidelity.
The Terry Zwigoff-directed original co-starred the late Bernie Mac and John Ritter and made $76.5 million at the box office worldwide.
