Beverly Hills Cop set for the small screen

August 29th, 2012 by bash Comments

Vulture is reporting that Eddie Murphy wants to bring Beverly Hills Cop back – only this time for the small screen.

The comedy star is said to be working with The Shield creator Shawn Ryan and Sony Pictures Television on reviving our favourite Detroit cop.

Murphy would reprise his role as Axel Foley in a guest-star capacity and the focus of the series would be the character’s police officer son.

The actor told Rolling Stone magazine last year that Axel was now the chief of police in Detroit and that he would “do the pilot, show up here and there”.

Like the movies, the series would blend action and comedy.

Hi all. I'm Bash and love anything and everything to do with Star Wars. Although I've watched hundreds of movies, read dozens of books and played numerous computer games from other genres and franchises since, nothing has come close to seeing George Lucas' epic for the very first time. I hope you all like the site and come back often.
