Bourne Legacy gets trailer and seems to be… Bourne again?

June 1st, 2012 by Marc 1 Comment

As much as it (sort of) pains us to write this, we’re now looking forward to Bourne without Bourne.

Yes Bourne may be gone, but his legacy lives on as we can see in this new trailer. We like Jeremy Renner and it has to be said, while his character Aaron Cross may be no Jason Bourne, he’s going a long way to fill the empty void left by Matt Damon.
It’s certainly clever and intriguing the way this movie seems to take place behind the scenes of the third Bourne movie, and therefore justifies the use of the Bourne name. We want this to be good and the return of the other principals  – Finney, Strathairn and Allen – and the addition of Edward Norton means that, if nothing else, the studio is treating it properly. Time will tell…

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….

  1. Didn’t we just mention this yesterday? and now a new trailer? lol
As a fan of the Bourne movies (one of the rare series where each movie was better than the last) I was curious after the teaser, now i WANT to see this. Especially interested to see how this seemt to overlap with the New York events at the end of Bourne Supremacy.
