Burton set for stop-motion return

April 10th, 2012 by bash Comments

Tim Burton looks set to make another stop-motion animation picture, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Writer Seth Grahame-Smith told the trade that he’s got another script in the works with Burton planning to direct – called Night of the Living.

He said: “Night of the Living is an idea I have had around for years that I’m doing with Tim Burton.

“When we were shooting ‘Dark Shadows’ (above) last year I worked up the nerve to tell Tim about it because I always thought it would make a good movie. When I saw what he had done with ‘Frankweenie’ and ‘Corpse Bride’, it always struck me as a great idea for that form. I’m writing it at Warner’s Bros. for him (as a stop-motion monster movie).”

Grahame-Smith is both the original author and screenwriter of the upcoming Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (produced by Burton) and drafted the Burton-directed Dark Shadows. He’s also attached to write the upcoming Beetlejuice sequel.

Hi all. I'm Bash and love anything and everything to do with Star Wars. Although I've watched hundreds of movies, read dozens of books and played numerous computer games from other genres and franchises since, nothing has come close to seeing George Lucas' epic for the very first time. I hope you all like the site and come back often.
