Burton wants Beetlejuice sequel

January 13th, 2012 by bash Comments

It seems that a rumoured Beetlejuice sequel could be on the way.

Director Tim Burton has told MTV News that he is interested in developing a story to follow up the classic 1988 comedy which starred Michael Keaton.

“I love that character, and Michael is so great in it,” he said. “I always think about how great and fun that character was, so I just said to Seth [Grahame-Smith], ‘If you have some idea about it, go for it, and then I’ll look at it freshly… In the past, I tried some things, but that was way back when. He seemed really excited about it.”

A sequel was originally planned in the early ’90s with the title Beetlejuice Goes Hawaiian however this failed to get beyond the screenplay stage. Fans will be hoping they go further this time.

Hi all. I'm Bash and love anything and everything to do with Star Wars. Although I've watched hundreds of movies, read dozens of books and played numerous computer games from other genres and franchises since, nothing has come close to seeing George Lucas' epic for the very first time. I hope you all like the site and come back often.
