Christopher Lee returns in The Wicker Tree (video)

April 26th, 2012 by Marc Comments

There are very few horror fans who will debate the power of the original Wicker Man. The story of a virgin police man (Edward Woodward) who stumbles into a very dark situation when he crosses the great Christopher Lee. Now Lee is ‘re-imagining’ the lore of the original (this is separate from the dire Nicholas Cage remake) in Wicker Tree. We have an exclusive clip from the movie thanks to the lovely people at The Digital Picture.

Here’s the press release:

In 1973, The Wicker Man became one of the cult horror movies of all time.
Now, director Robert Hardy and original star Christopher Lee have reteamed to bring you this re-imagining of the original classic.
A young Texas couple travel to Scotland to spread the gospel throughout the community. But their trip soon turns into an ordeal of terror and temptation.
To get your juices going, The Digital Picture is pleased to bring you a clip from the movie!
The Wicker Tree hits Blu-ray and DVD on April 30th

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
