Chronicle scribe to write superhero TV show

September 18th, 2012 by bash No Comments

THR is reporting that Chronicle scribe Max Landis is to work on a superhero TV series for Fox.

The site is claiming that he will pen a script along with Homeland writer/producer Howard Gordan.

The series is described as “a ‘superhero’ origin story told through the unlikely point of view of a smart 20-year-old woman who happens to be a social outcast. After an honorable veteran detective is brutally coerced into working for the corrupt head of Internal Affairs, the detective’s daughter plans her revenge by creating a fictional vigilante persona to take on the criminal elements within the police department and the city”.

However, since this news was announced Landis has come out and said that calling the new show a ‘superhero’ series is like calling “Taxi Drive a pre-cursor to Spider-Man 3″.

Any of you nerds out there know anything more about this planned show? If so, let us know!

Hi all. I'm Bash, I'm 33, and I became a nerd when I first saw Star Wars as a child. Although I've watched hundreds of movies, read dozens of books and played numerous computer games since, nothing has come close to seeing George Lucas' epic for the very first time. At Following the Nerd, I'm Marc's right hand man and can be heard every Thursday trying to be funny on our radio show. I hope you all like the site and come back often.
