Cruise review Reaches CinemaCon

April 25th, 2012 by bash Comments

Coming have a little review of footage shown at Paramount’s CinemaCon from Tom Cruise’s role as Jack Reacher, from the popular crime novel series by Lee Child.

The movie, co-written by Christopher McQuarrie, is supposedly called One Shot, the title of Child’s ninth Reacher book, however that has still to be confirmed.

Here is a small paragraph or two from their mini-review: “Even though we were given the usual warning that this wasn’t color-timed or anything, the footage really looked fantastic…. The other thing the footage showed us is how well McQuarrie is blending the use of silence–Jack just looking at someone or sitting in his car driving–with the razor-sharp delivery of the patter, presumably influenced by Lee Child’s prose. Either way, this looks like it will be a fun addition to the action genre and to Cruise’s filmography and a great follow-up to Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol.”

One Shot is scheduled for release on December 21.

Hi all. I'm Bash and love anything and everything to do with Star Wars. Although I've watched hundreds of movies, read dozens of books and played numerous computer games from other genres and franchises since, nothing has come close to seeing George Lucas' epic for the very first time. I hope you all like the site and come back often.
