Darth Maul battle pack is set to be a must have for Clone Wars toy collectors

May 13th, 2012 by Marc Comments

Images have been leaked online regarding a new Clone Wars battlepack including two brand new figures, Cyborg Darth Maul and a Nightsister (believed to be Mother Talzin) along with Armored Savage Opress.
Star Wars/Clone Wars battlepacks have been a bit of a let down over the last few years with most sets generally consisting of old figures with limited articulation.
However this new set is sure to be in high demand. Two new figures, Cyborg Darth Maul and although listed on the packaging as “Nightsister” the figure is believed to be Mother Talzin – as Hasbro have previously confirmed in a Q&A session that she would be getting a release. Also included is the highly sought after Armored Savage Opress which has still not seen the light of day on a basic card in the UK and as a result is still commanding 30 odd quid on the secondary markets.
The pack is a Target exclusive in the US but will see a more general release in the UK although no release dates have been confirmed.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
