Disney gives a new mystery Marvel Studios film a date. That makes three.

June 24th, 2013 by Edwin Torres Jr 1 Comment

It’s only been a week after Walt Disney Pictures and Marvel Studios revealed release dates for two mystery projects in 2016 and 2017, a new update has set a third mystery Marvel film for release on July 8, 2016.

This past May saw the release of Iron Man 3 and the official launch of Phase Two of the ongoing Marvel Cinematic Universe. We’ve got Thor: The Dark World coming out on November 8th, 2013, Captain America: The Winter Soldier on April 4th, 2014, Guardians of the Galaxy on August 1st, 2014, and The Avengers 2 on May 1st, 2015. Phase Three will launch with Ant-Man on November 6th, 2015.

They recently announced two other mystery Marvel movies set to be released on May 6th, 2016 and May 5th, 2017. This third movie will be released on July 8th, 2016

It has been hinted in the past that Marvel has plans for new characters in Phase Three like Black Panther or Doctor Strange. Either of those are strong candidates for these future release dates. A third Avengers film is also possible for the 2017 date.

Maybe it’s another sequel, maybe something else entirely. Black panther? Doctor Strange? Inhumans? What do you want these mystery projects to be?
