Dougray Scott set for Doctor Who role

June 20th, 2012 by Owen Quinn Comments

Mission Impossible star, and the man who was almost Wolverine in the X-Men movies, Dougray Scott has completed an episode of Doctor Who for broadcast in 2013.

The Scottish actor was snapped on set opposite Matt Smith and Jenna Louise Coleman, the new mystery companion.

His role is the subject of rumour as to whether it is a cameo or full time. Dougray was snapped on location in what was said to be a Victorian era episode. Location filming took place in Wales and he spoke of his role briefly on This Morning.

He revealed his character was a professor but little else. He went on to say a project he was due to work on was pushed back by a month and he jumped at the chance at doing Doctor Who.

On set photos have shown him in a three piece suit and duffle coat with glasses looking the quintessential professor. Matt Smith meanwhile sports a new look costume with refined jacket and waist coat with the newest rumour being the classic monsters the Ice Warriors are coming back, something fans have wanted for years. But as always, time will tell.
