Ender’s Game is one of the most emotional science fiction movies I’ve ever seen: Ford

A production blog from the set of Ender’s Game has given us little snippets of what we can expect from Gavin Hood’s big screen adaptation of the Orson Scott Card literary classic.

Most recently, however, the site gave us a little Q&A with producer Roberto Orci and fans of the book.

Below is a snippet of those questions and answers followed by a link to the blog itself:

“One thing I can tell you is that Gavin Hood is a gigantic Stanley Kubrick fan, and it shows,” Orci said. “And yet, in some of the Zero G battles, things are going on that Kubrick never had a chance to tackle.

“The technology and advancements in film making available to us allowed us to realize a vision that is totally unique and modern while also being, as Harrison Ford calls it, one of the most emotional science fiction movies he has ever seen.”

Currently filming for a November 1, 2013 release, Ender’s Game stars Ben Kingsley, Harrison Ford, Hailee Steinfeld, Abigail Breslin and Viola Davis.

Hi all. I'm Bash, I'm 33, and I became a nerd when I first saw Star Wars as a child. Although I've watched hundreds of movies, read dozens of books and played numerous computer games since, nothing has come close to seeing George Lucas' epic for the very first time. At Following the Nerd, I'm Marc's right hand man and can be heard every Thursday trying to be funny on our radio show. I hope you all like the site and come back often.
