Doug Chiang and Ian McCaig confirmed for Star Wars Celebration Europe

June 15th, 2013 by Christopher Williams Comments

More huge news as we head into Star Wars Celebration Europe this summer. Two more guests have been announced in design director Doug Chiang and artist Iain McCaig. The two have been tapped by LucasFilm head Kathleen Kennedy to come aboard for the Episode VII and will be on hand to talk about that as well as their past Star Wars experience.

For those not familiar Chiang was the design director for Episodes I & II, designing the look and feel of the Star Wars Universe before Imperial rule. His other work includes Zemeckis’ Beowulf, Polar Express, Mars Needs Moms and Disney’s A Christmas Carol.

McCaig is an artist best known for coming up with original design not only for Padme Amidala, but also everyone’s favorite Sith apprentice Darth Maul. His other design credits include John Carter, The Avengers, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire as well as the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Movie.

Don’t miss out on meeting these legendary artists as they join Kennedy, J.J. Abrams, Michael Arndt, Lawrence Kasdan and Simon Kinberg in Messe Essen, Germany July 26-28 for Star Wars Celebration Europe.

FTN is going to be there… are you?
