Back on Friday Sam Raimi broke the news that he’s been developing a television series based on his The Evil Dead franchise. Well it seems he had another nugget he neglected to mention, that Bruce Campbell would be returning as Ash in the show. The actor responded to a fan on Twitter last night confirming that the plan is for the cult icon to return as the deadite bashing hero.
No word on how-or if this new series will tie in to the recent Evil Dead remake/reboot/sequel/prequel. Rami also revealed that he and his brother Ivan, would be writing the show along with Bruce Campbell.
Very early days on this one but so far it sounds extremely ……..Groovy.
