Fargo tv series in the wood chipper (sorry, meant pipeline)!

March 24th, 2012 by Irwin Fletcher Comments

It appears that once again there are plans for a television series of the film “Fargo.”  Though the plans are at a very early stage, it seems that the essence of the film will be captured and explored.
“Fargo”, which was originally written and directed by The Coen Brothers, went on to win an academy award for best screenplay and also best actress for Frances McDormand. It also starred William H. Macy and Steve Buscemi and focused on the life of a sleepy town called “Fargo”.
A television pilot was filmed in 2003 and starred Edie Falco (The Sopranos) but was not picked up by a network. Lets hope the screenwriters do better this time as we at FTN would love to see this on the small screen.
