Filming begins on Arrested Development season 4

August 8th, 2012 by Christopher Williams Comments

Some good news for fans of critically acclaimed comedy Arrested Development, filming began this week on season 4!

Lead star Jason Bateman tweeted the above photo from the set with “first day. Away we go…”

If you’ve never seen the show before it follows Michael Bluth as he tries to save his family business from…his family. The Bluth clan is one of the most corrupt, narcissistic self preserving family on the planet, and Michael seems to be the only normal one.

The show started aired from 2003-2006 and was a favorite of critics though never pulled in the ratings it needed to survive past a third season.

Arrested Development rejuvenated 80’s sitcom actor Jason Bateman’s career and was the launching pad for Michael Cera.

Executive produced by Ron Howard, the show gave us great memories such as David Cross’ Tobias Fünke’s crossing the professions of analyst and therapist to become an “analrapist” (pronounced a-null-rapist).

The new season will be exclusive to Netflix and should be coming in 2013.
