FTN Blog 2012 Ep7 – Hello, what have we here?

March 15th, 2012 by Marc Comments

It’s been a hectic week at FTN headquarters as we build on ideas that have been in the melting pot for quite a while. We can’t confirm anything yet but make sure you stick with us on our website or via Facebook. Trust me, it’ll be worth the wait.

What else have I been up to? Well, it’s been a bit of a TV week in the Bash household. I’ve been recording the first season of Buffy on SyFy and despite my reservations Marc assures me that it is great. I’ve also started watching the first season of Fringe and after the first episode I’m kinda hooked.

John Noble is great, Joshua Jackson intrigues me, while Anna Torv is simply hot! Hopefully it doesn’t stay to X-Filesy for long but Marc tells me it won’t.

One thing I can tell you that excites me no end is the news that Lando Calrissian will be in Dublin this May for Invasion Dublin. Yep, you heard that right. Billy Dee Williams will be arriving on the Emerald Isle for another few days of Star Wars epicness cooked up by the Emerald Garrison.

We’ll be there and hopefully you will be too. If not, make sure you continue to follow us at were we’ll have all the footage and pictures.

Talking of footage, I hope you’ve been checking out our website as we continue to post new interviews from the Heroes and Legends event in Belfast last month. The most recent of these was Phil’s chat with Star Wars sculptor Brian Muir. Brian was such a gentleman and the stories he told us about some of our favourite franchises would blow your mind. I’ll have to make sure the next time he is over that I take him out for a Guinness or three to hear more of his wonderful stories.

Well, that’s it for this week. I’ll speak to you all soon.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
