Ghostbusters 3 delayed… and now might not happen

November 2nd, 2012 by bash Comments

Ghostbusters 3 has been delayed yet again and now may not happen.

Speculation online suggests that a decision on whether the film will go forward or not won’t be reached until March of 2013. This is because of rumours that Sony Pictures Entertainment is up for sale and thus several projects that were in the production queue are now up in the air.

Sony have apparently paid Men In Black 3 screenwriter Etan Cohen a large sum of money to rewrite the script that had gone through several hands before including Bad Teacher writers Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg.

Original director Ivan Reitman, meanwhile, recently suggested that Ghostbusters should be remade rather than relaunched however one thing we definitely know is that Bill Murray won’t be in it.

Hi all. I'm Bash and love anything and everything to do with Star Wars. Although I've watched hundreds of movies, read dozens of books and played numerous computer games from other genres and franchises since, nothing has come close to seeing George Lucas' epic for the very first time. I hope you all like the site and come back often.
