November 15th, 2012 by bash Comments

Variety are reporting that Tom Hardy is attached to star in an adaptation of the best selling video game, Splinter Cell.

The news comes hot on the heels of news that Michael Fassbender will star in and produce another popular console game, Assassin’s Creed.

Ubisoft Motion Pictures CEO Jean-Julien Baronnet said: “Tom Hardy is currently one of the biggest talents in the film industry, and he has a phenomenal ability to take on complex and varied roles with his broad range of acting skills. His involvement in the ‘Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell’ movie is exciting news for movie and video game fans alike.

“Meanwhile, Eric Singer is one of the most talented writers of the moment, and … we’re confident he’ll bring a fresh approach and create a thrilling story … while still respecting all the codes and traditions of the franchise that are so important to fans.”

Hardy is currently filming Mad Max: Fury Road with George Millar.

Hi all. I'm Bash and love anything and everything to do with Star Wars. Although I've watched hundreds of movies, read dozens of books and played numerous computer games from other genres and franchises since, nothing has come close to seeing George Lucas' epic for the very first time. I hope you all like the site and come back often.
