Harrison Ford says he hasn’t decided if he’ll be part of Star Wars: Episode VII

While we patiently ( and impatiently) await official confirmation that Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher will return for J.J. Abrams Star Wars: Episode VII, scruffy looking nerf-herder Han Solo himself hasn’t committed one way or the other.

Appearing on the BBC’s Graham Norton Show, Ford said he has not made a final decision as to whether he will be a part of the film or not. To date, Ford has been quiet about involvement in the new movies while George Lucas previously revealed that he felt the original 3 actors would all be returning to their roles.

Ford did say he would do Indiana Jones 5 though:

“I would do it in a New York minute, yes. “I don’t think there is any barrier to Indiana Jones being an old fart. I’m old enough that we don’t need Connery anymore. I’m old enough to play my own father!”

Whether or not he reprises his roles of Han Solo or Indiana Jones, audiences can still get their Ford fix on the big screen. He was already in this year’s 42 and Paranoia and can next be seen in Ender’s Game, Anchorman 2: the Legend Continues, and The Expendables 3.

Benedict Cumberbatch and comedian Jack Whitehall are among the other guests on the show, which will be on Friday night at 10:35pm on BBC One.
