Has Sam Mendes changed his mind about a 007 return?

May 28th, 2013 by bash Comments

Deadline is reporting that Skyfall director Sam Mendes will be back in the director’s chair for the next 007 film.

After initially turning down the job to focus on other projects, the site is reporting that Eon Productions and Sony Pictures are willing to wait on the director.

Earlier in the day, Variety reported that Eon and Sony had crafted a short list of directors for the next James Bond film that includes Nicolas Winding Refn, Ang Lee , Tom Hooper , David Yates and Shane Black.

Though they have assembled a list of potential helmers, the studio says it could still be some time before a decision is made as details in Daniel Craig’s contract are still being hammered out.

Just two weeks ago Christopher Nolan was also said to be in discussions to helm the film, but there is no mention of him in either of these new reports.

Hi all. I'm Bash and love anything and everything to do with Star Wars. Although I've watched hundreds of movies, read dozens of books and played numerous computer games from other genres and franchises since, nothing has come close to seeing George Lucas' epic for the very first time. I hope you all like the site and come back often.
