Help make Boys From County Hell, NI’s latest horror movie, a reality…

February 24th, 2012 by Big Phil Comments

Last week Phil had the pleasure of meeting the cast, Director and Producers of the short film ‘The Boys From County Hell’, a horror film that is due to start filming later this week , set in Northern Ireland.

Chris Baugh, Writer and Director, informed me that both he and Producer Brendan Mullin are creating something unique for the silver screen. During our interview they informed me of their desire to create a short film using their background and love of the 80’s film and horror genre such as ‘The Thing’, ‘Assault on Precinct 13’ and ‘The Lost Boys’.

Nigel O’Neill who plays ‘Francie’ and Michael Lavery who plays ‘Eugene’ are a father and son team who encounter some mysterious goings on in their work van late one evening and who discover there is more to the hills and forests of Northern Ireland than they ever imagined.

Chris Robinson is the main villain of the piece and has been working extensively with Denis Rush, special make-up and effects designer, to ensure that the creature on screen is something to make the audience literally jump right out of their seats!
