Hugo leads Oscars hunt

January 25th, 2012 by bash Comments

The 2012 Academy Award nominations have been announced, with Martin Scorsese’s 3D adventure film Hugo leading the charge with 11 nods, including best film and director.

French comedy The Artist is up for 10 awards, including best film, director, actor and supporting actress.

Meryl Streep receives her 17th Oscar nomination for her portrayal of Margaret Thatcher, while George Clooney and Brad Pitt are up for best actor.

Hi all. I'm Bash and love anything and everything to do with Star Wars. Although I've watched hundreds of movies, read dozens of books and played numerous computer games from other genres and franchises since, nothing has come close to seeing George Lucas' epic for the very first time. I hope you all like the site and come back often.
