IDW to debut new Judge Dredd book

July 25th, 2012 by Christopher Williams Comments

IDW will be debuting a new Judge Dredd book hot on the heels of the 35 year anniversary of the character after being granted licensing rights from original publisher, 2000AD.

Debuting in November with Duane Swierczynski writing the story and Nelson Daniel covering the interior art. There will also be back up stories featuring art from Paul Gulacy and Jim Starlin as well as different artists handling cover duties.

Fans of classic Dredd get ready to break out your wallets too as part of IDW’s deal with 2000AD also includes deluxe reprinting of some of the original books. With a new movie on the way as well it looks like there will be plenty of Dredd to go around.

Christopher is self-billed as the World's Coolest Nerd (meaning he wears glasses and is clumsy, but he never earned good marks in school). He loves all things Star Wars and superhero related such as comics, books, cartoons and movies. He's a husband and father who somehow manages to keep up with his pastimes since his day job mainly consists of sitting around a store with not much to do. He's very outspoken and wants to share his opinions with the world, or at least his fellow nerds. You can follow him on Twitter @AUDone44.
