Peter Jackson has confirmed that he plans on filming a sequel to The Adventures of Tintin in 2013.
Speaking to Belgian site RTBF, the New Zealand director said he will beginning shooting next year and that post-production would take a further two years resulting in a release date of no earlier than 2015.
Although nothing has been confirmed story wise, Jackson told Coming Soon.net back in 2009 that he had several stories in mind.
“I’ve got several favorite stories,” he said. “I like ‘Seven Crystal Balls’ and ‘Prisoners of the Sun.’ I like ‘The Black Island.’ I like ‘The Calculus Affair’…the moon one[s] would be great to do as a third or fourth one.”
Screenwriter Anthony Horowitz is believed to be working on drafting the sequel.
