Judge Dredd writer Mike Carroll and artist PJ Holden drop in to Forbidden Planet, Belfast

September 2nd, 2012 by Owen Quinn Comments

With Judge Dredd starting in cinemas this weekend, there was never a better time for an event in Forbidden Planet…

To launch the new Judge Dredd comic strip comic book writer and artist Mike Carroll (above, right) and artist  PJ Holden (above, left) were guests at a special comic book signing yesterday.

Mike has written a new story Debris and PJ has drawn it for the latest issue of 2000AD on sale now. Both were in fine form chatting with fans and signing the comic strips. The Emerald Garrison were out in force with them to promote the upcoming Belfast Invasion in October on the 6th and 7th at the W5 which will see the launch of a brand new costume – Jodo Kast. Ably supported by the Ghostbusters, Captain Jack Sparrow and Judge Dredd (pictured below) himself, this was a roaring success.

Husband, dad and Ireland's hardest working author, Owen Quinn is currently knee deep in The Time Warriors, arguably the biggest sci-fi epic ever to come out of Ireland. He has an unhealthy interest in Doctor Who, classic TV and Star Wars, he also hangs around with the Emerald Garrison far toooo much. Is it any wonder he fits in at FTN so well? Find Owen at the
