Producer Frank Marshall has said that he expects Jurassic Park 4 to hit cinema screens in two years’ time.
Speaking to Collider.com, Marshall, who is a regular collaborator with Steven Spielberg, said they were aiming for a summer release since it’s a “popcorn movie,” and confirmed that it’s definitely a sequel and not a reboot or remake.
Last month it was confirmed that Rise of the Planet of the Apes screenwriters Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver were brought onboard to pen the script.
Marshall cited the advances in visual effects as one of the exciting things to look forward to in the fourth dinosaur installment.
“That’s what’s gonna be great about it, technology’s taken a leap now that we can really do some great things,” he said.
Spielberg confirmed earlier this year that he won’t be directing the film and as yet no one has been attached to helm the film.
