Jurassic Park to get 3D release

March 17th, 2012 by bash Comments

Universal Pictures has announced that Jurassic Park is to be released in 3D next year.

Marking what would be the 20th anniversary of the film, Steven Spielberg told Moviefone about technological advances since it first arrived on cinema screens back in 1993.

“[W]e invented the technology,” he said. “We’re not just standing on the shoulders of giants; we’re the inventors of the technology to begin with. The first leading characters in history that were digital characters were the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park. That had never happened before.”

The studio has slated the film for a July 19, 2013 release, shifting the release of its Tom Cruise sci-fi film Oblivion to April 26, 2013.

Hi all. I'm Bash and love anything and everything to do with Star Wars. Although I've watched hundreds of movies, read dozens of books and played numerous computer games from other genres and franchises since, nothing has come close to seeing George Lucas' epic for the very first time. I hope you all like the site and come back often.
