Can’t wait to get some more of Kick-Ass and his ultra violent little pal Hit-Girl?
Well the date has been set. According to Comic Book Resources, Kick-Ass 2 will be coming to a theater near you on June 28, 2013. Based on the books by Mark Millar and John Romita Jr, this installment will draw inspiration from Kick-Ass vol. 2 as well as the Hit-Girl miniseries.
Two roles have already been filled with Robert Emms set to play cop turned hero Insect Man and Morris Chestnut stepping into the role of Marcus Williams, Hit-Girl’s step dad. Let’s hope Chestnut can stay alive through the whole movie. ( His characters have a penchant for getting killed off; see Boyz N Tha Hood and Anaconda).
They will join the established cast along with new members John Leguizamo and Donald Faisonwhen production is set to get underway next month. This time Matthew Vaughn will take a step back from the camera and into a producers role as he is already committed to direct the forthcoming – “should be one of the best movies ever” – X-Men, Days Of Future Past.
