Legend of Korra gets second season on Nickelodeon

July 23rd, 2012 by bash No Comments

A further series of Avatar: The Legend of Korra will be shown on Nickelodeon, it has been confirmed.

Book One: Air – the first twelve episodes – received positive reviews during its run which ended last month.

Book Two: Spirits, will see Team Avatar travel to the Southern Water tribe – something which has gotten the fans excited.

The origins of the Avatar line will be explored along the way and see them back in the pro bending arena. Recently at Comic Con fans were treated to some behind the scenes footgae including scenes featuring Mako and Korra. And as a special treat the crowds were recorded to be used in the show as background noise.

Avatar: Legend of Korra was initially conceived as a miniseries of 12 episodes, but is now set to run for 52 episodes separated into another two seasons and four “books”, which tell separate stories.

This series has proved very popular and is very mature given the nature of it all. But the obvious effort put into it may rival that of the Clone Wars themselves. Watch this space.

Hi all. I'm Bash, I'm 33, and I became a nerd when I first saw Star Wars as a child. Although I've watched hundreds of movies, read dozens of books and played numerous computer games since, nothing has come close to seeing George Lucas' epic for the very first time. At Following the Nerd, I'm Marc's right hand man and can be heard every Thursday trying to be funny on our radio show. I hope you all like the site and come back often.
