Following the recent release of Star Wars Episode 1 The Phantom Menace, LEGO® have unveiled a whole host of playsets, vehicles and characters from George Lucas’ sci-fi epic.

Take to the skies with the new Star Wars Planets. Priced at £9.99 there are three sets to collect (with a further three available from Autumn 2012). Cleverly designed, each set is available in planet casing and includes model, display stand and name plaque. What’s more they can be hung to recreate your very own star wars galaxy!

The 9674 Naboo Starfighter™ & Naboo™ is the hub of activity throughout Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace. Complete with Naboo, Starfighter, and pilot minifigure, deploy the sleek Naboo starfighter to defend itself against the clutches of the Trade Federation! With the 9675 Sebulba’s Podracer™ & Tatooine™, visit the home of the young Anakin Skywalker and race rival Sebulba, to win the annual Boonta Eve Classic Podrace. This set includes an accurate model of planet Tatooine, a Sebulba minifigure, Sebulba’s sleek Podracer mini-model, and a wrench. At 160 km across, the Death Star is the size of a moon and capable of destroying entire planets! The 9676 TIE Interceptor™ & Death Star™ will allow you to re-enact scenes from Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, where the Imperial TIE Interceptor battles in vain to keep the Rebel Alliance from destroying the Empire’s greatest weapon.

Meanwhile, the hugely successfully Battle Packs are back…

From Star Wars Clone Wars 9488 Elite Clone Trooper™ & Commando Droid™ Battle Pack (RRP: £11.99) are the most elite of battle droids. Sent by the Separatists to attack the forces of the Republic, the Clone army put up a strong fight with the powerful Republic artillery cannon! With elevating turret and flick missile, those clankers will be running for cover! Recreate the battle of Endor from Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi with the 9489 Endor™ Rebel Trooper & Imperial Trooper™ (RRP: £11.99). From their secret Rebel hideout on the Ewok moon, help the Endor Rebel troopers launch a surprise attack on the Imperial forces. Complete with Stormtrooper, Scout trooper and 2 Endor Rebel troopers, the battle pack features a rebel hideout with flick missile, weapon rack, speederbike and 4 weapons.

Robot companions, R2-D2 and C-3PO, have the secret plans to the Death Star in the 9490 Droid™ Escape (RRP: £19.99), and must avoid capture by heading to the desert planet Tatooine in their escape pod. Will they land safely and avoid being captured by the Imperial Sandtroopers on their Swoop bike? To be continued……….

Get into character with the 9491 Geonosian™ Cannon (RRP: £19.99). Led by General Barriss Offee and Clone Commander Gree, the clone army is mounting an attack on the planet Geonosis. But it won’t be easy. The Geonosians are expecting them and are firing back with their powerful Geonosian cannon with dual flick missiles!

Feel the power of the dark side and hunt down the Rebels in the iconic 9492 TIE Fighter ™ (RRP: £49.99)! Equipped with dual flick missiles and opening cockpit, this instantly recognisable and hugely popular starship of the Imperial Fleet returns to battle the rebel alliance once again! Hi all. I'm Bash and love anything and everything to do with Star Wars. Although I've watched hundreds of movies, read dozens of books and played numerous computer games from other genres and franchises since, nothing has come close to seeing George Lucas' epic for the very first time. I hope you all like the site and come back often.
