Tune in live Thursday from 9pm est

LISTEN: It’s episode 46 of our Podcast! ‘Cast it into the fire! Destroy it! ’

December 13th, 2012 by Marc Comments

This week your host, Marc, is joined by Jay – back once again after a long absence!

We start getting all festive as we talk about Christmas movies and how they are different for kids than for the grown-ups.

We talk the new Star Trek Into Darkness teaser and what Benedict Cumberbatch may really be.

Discussion turns to making low-budget movies, Ridley Scott coming to Ireland

and The Walking Dead and the end of the first half of season three and what it means now that the series is changing the comic stories.

We get Stuart from the Monday Movie Show on, talking about the big hitters in the UK box office – including Skyfall’s record shattering performance.

Where will the Justice League movie head? And we talk about the couple who are building a life-sized, yes 1:1 scale, Millenium Falcon.

All that plus the usual news and reviews. We got your Nerd backs covered.

Also don’t forget to subscribe and comment on our show over on iTunes here

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
