“Luck” suffers another filming tragedy!

March 14th, 2012 by Big Phil Comments

Tragedy has once again raised it’s head on this troubled series with another death of a horse.  The HBO show, written by Michael Mann and starring Dustin Hoffman, gives the viewer an insight into the more seedier side of horse racing.
Sadly, the production suffered from the deaths of two horses during the filming of the first few episodes of the series and it has endured numeorus investigations by various animal welfare groups.
The American Humane Association, which can be clearly seen at the end of films which have supported its views on the treatment of animals in films and television, removed their logo and a statement for the episodes in which the first two horses had died making.
This third tragedy will once again raise serious questions about the treatment of animals on the show despite the statements and guarantees from the show’s makers.
