Fans of Robert Rodriguez’s Machete will be happy to hear that a sequel is on the way…. and it looks like it could be going the way of Bond classic Moonraker!
Deadline is reporting that filming on Machete Kills will start in April and that Danny Trejo is in talks to reprise his role as the badass Mexican hit-man.
However, it seems the plot will involve Trejo’s character attempting to foil the villainous plans of a billionaire arms dealer, who plans to spread war across the globe with the assistance of a mega weapon… in space!!
Machete, which cost approximately $10 million to make, was released in 2010 and grossed over $37 million.
