Marton Csokas is in The Amazing Spider-Man 2?

May 19th, 2013 by Edwin Torres Jr Comments

The Hollywood Reporter confirms that the New Zealand actor, Marton Csokas is already in the middle of shooting in Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2. It’s weird that this went under the radar until now.

As for who will he play, IMDb currently has Csokas listed as Dr Kafka, a character from Marvel Comics that’s the head of the Ravencroft Institute. In Marvel Comics however Dr. Kafka is a woman so it’s possibly just a guess by someone on IMDB. It is a what I would consider a minor role so it’s probably not an issue either way. Maybe he’s a villain for the third film? Kraven?

“In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, for Peter Parker, life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen, high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro, emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn, returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.”

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Shailene Woodley, Dane DeHaan, Colm Feore, Paul Giamatti, Chris Cooper, Felicity Jones and Sally Field.

The film is set to swing into theaters May 2nd, 2014.

Who do you think he is or would like him to play?
