Mockingbird Lane dropped by NBC

December 30th, 2012 by bash 1 Comment

After just one pilot, the execs at NBC have decided to drop plans for more episodes of Mockingbird Lane.

The show was Bryan Fuller’s reboot of The Munsters and had its one-off episode aired at Halloween.

However, a permanent return has now been shelved following confirmation from Fuller himself via Twitter.

He said: “I tweet with a heavy heart. NBC not moving forward with #MockingbirdLane. From producers and cast, thank you all for enthusiasm and support.”

So there you have it. What’s your thoughts on this? Did you watch the one-off? What did you think? Is this all a bit premature from NBC? As ever let us know your thoughts.

Hi all. I'm Bash and love anything and everything to do with Star Wars. Although I've watched hundreds of movies, read dozens of books and played numerous computer games from other genres and franchises since, nothing has come close to seeing George Lucas' epic for the very first time. I hope you all like the site and come back often.

  1. How dumb is this? From my perspective, my own personal feelings are that NBC are foolish for letting this one go.because it was vastly superior to the crappy 90s remake that was The Munsters Today. From a business perspective, however, I can see why NBC gave a pass on it. $10 million just to do a pilot? Yeah, there’s not enough people buying soap to justify the expense. So while I am sad that they passed and hopeful that maybe it will find a life on Syfy, I look forward to see what he does with the Hannibal TV show.
