NASA hire William Shatner and Wil Wheaton for new Mars videos

August 2nd, 2012 by Owen Quinn Comments

In anticipation of the new rover landing on Mars, Nasa have released two versions of an explanatory video called ‘Great Entrance’. One is narrated by Captain Kirk himself, William Shatner, while Wil Wheaton – aka Wesley Crusher – will narrate the other.

Burt Ulrich, the liaison for NASA for film, TV and social media collaborations has praised both actors for their contribution and the way they have simplified how the landing will work and its purpose in exploring the mysterious Red Planet.

And is it me or is Wil Wheaton, who recently starred in A Town called Eureka, starting to look like the love child of Wil Riker? Anyone? Just me then.
