Get ready Bat-fans! 100% Pure, West.

Warner Bros Home Entertainment have announced that we’ll all finally be able to get our Bat-mitts on the 1960’s live action Batman TV show when it’s released later this year as a complete set.

Previously the only way that fans could view the camp yet beloved series starring Adam West as the Caped Crusader and Burt Ward as his trusty side-kick Robin, was through re-runs on TV or through illegal bootleg copies.

A long and arduous legal battle between Warner Bros and Fox over who had the specific rights to put the show out on disc complicated it’s release until now. Everything from character rights, licensing rights regarding the Bat-mobile, actor likeness rights etc. where all contested between the two production companies but word came today from a tweet by Conan O’ Brien no less that this had been seemingly put to rest.

There is no further details given or an exact release date but if I was a betting man I would place it for a summer or holiday release this year.
