New director set for Fantastic Four reboot

January 17th, 2012 by bash Comments

Variety is reporting that Chronicle director Josh Trank is the frontrunner to reboot the Fantastic Four franchise.

Michael Green (Green Lantern) is penning the newest script at 20th Century Fox, who are waiting to see the box-office performance of Chronicle before extending an official offer to Trank who has already had several meetings about the film

The previous two Fantastic Four films, directed by Tim Story and starring Jessica Alba and Chris Evans, grossed $620 million despite awful reviews. Fox’s aim is to start over and restore some credibility to the property.

Akiva Goldsman was slated to produce but is no longer involved.

Hi all. I'm Bash and love anything and everything to do with Star Wars. Although I've watched hundreds of movies, read dozens of books and played numerous computer games from other genres and franchises since, nothing has come close to seeing George Lucas' epic for the very first time. I hope you all like the site and come back often.
