New Movie Gives Us Inside Look At Being Chewie

August 3rd, 2012 by Christopher Williams Comments

Kyle Newman, director of Star Wars themed ‘Fanboys’, is set to direct a movie based on Peter Mayhew’s experience of making Star Wars.

If you’re not familiar with Mayhew he’s the 7 foot British actor who donned the Chewie suit for the original trilogy and again in 2005’s Revenge Of The Sith.

The movie will chronicle Mayhew’s life as he was working on A New Hope.
The movie, simply titled Chewie, will give us an insight to how Peter Mayhew balanced his career as a hospital worker while trying to break into Hollywood.
Kyle Newman had to secure the rights to Mayhew’s story just so he could start developing the script with writers Evan Susser and Van Robichaux.

As a huge fan of the “Walking Carpet”, I’m definitely excited to watch this one.
