New zombie killing experience may be the ultimate in reality-horror-fun!

April 1st, 2012 by Marc Comments

The new zombie experience day is based in a condemned shopping mall in Reading.Following the success of Zombie Boot Camp in Droitwich, sold on, the site has launched the new Zombie Shopping Mall experience; offering a real-life equivalent of George A. Romero’s Dawn of the Dead.
The Zombie Shopping Mall experience costs £119 per person and lasts three hours, taking participants through an intense training regime with a police firearms squad. To add to the eerie effect, part of the zombie battle is played out in an abandoned children’s play centre.
With limited opportunities to reload ammo, participants in the Zombie Shopping Mall experience need quick-thinking and fast movements to take down the zombies in a “run and gun” encounter. Since the disused mall is due for demolition in the near future, zombie fans are urged to book soon to avoid disappointment.
More about the Zombie Shopping Mall experience on can be found at

Richard Kershaw, co-founder of, spoke about the experience; “Our Zombie Boot Camp sold out in days. We’re expecting Zombie Shopping Mall to be even more popular, not least because the mall is due to be demolished.
“We’ll be taking bookings for as long as we are able to, but may have to withdraw this experience from sale at short notice. Please book ASAP to avoid disappointment – when it’s gone it’s gone! “We believe this is the most realistic zombie encounter available anywhere in the UK.”

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
