A big screen remake of George Orwell’s dystopian sci-fi classic Nineteen Eighty-Four has gotten itself a writer.
Noah Oppenheim will adapt the work while Shepard Fairey will serve as producer.
Nineteen Eighty-Four tells of a future world called Oceania wherein individuality and privacy are outlawed and citizens live in service to an all-seeing entity called ‘Big Brother’.
The previous film was directed by Michael Radford in the year 1984 with John Hurt starring as the lead, Winston Smith.
Oppenheim has also been working on the upcoming remake of WarGames.
