No more action movies for me, says Chan

May 22nd, 2012 by bash Comments

The end of an era is upon us after martial arts star Jackie Chan announced he will no longer make action movies.

The Hong Kong-born actor told audiences at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival that he has completed his last ever action movie – entitled Chinese Zodiac.

The 58-year-old said: “This is my last action film. I tell you, I’m not young any more. I’m really, really tired.

“And the world is too violent right now. It’s a dilemma – I like action but I don’t like violence.”

Chinese Zodiac is Chan’s 100th film. He started performing on screen in the 1960s and worked as a stuntman on the Bruce Lee films Fist of Fury and Enter the Dragon.

Hi all. I'm Bash and love anything and everything to do with Star Wars. Although I've watched hundreds of movies, read dozens of books and played numerous computer games from other genres and franchises since, nothing has come close to seeing George Lucas' epic for the very first time. I hope you all like the site and come back often.
