Edward Norton is to return to The Simpsons as “the most lovable minister in the world”, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Executive producer Al Jean confirmed that the Hollywood star would play Reverend Lovejoy’s rival in an upcoming episode of the hit TV show.
“He is much more popular than Reverend Lovejoy, if you can believe it, and Lovejoy is really upset and becomes a hot tub salesman. It comes down to a battle between the two of them… and there’s a surprise at the end,” he said.
The episode for season 24 will be titled Pulpit Friction and marks Norton’s return to the comedy after previously playing a con artist in season 12.
