Predators sequel on the back burner

Director Robert Rodriguez has briefly mentioned were he is with a possible sequel to Predators, his follow-up to the 80s classic starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Talking to’s, he said he was interested in a second film at the time of Predators release but now wasn’t so sure.

“We were thinking about it. I don’t know, I’ll have to talk to them. They just had a regime change over there – we’ll see what happens,” he said.

Elsewhere, the director said he is beginning prep work on Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.

Giving an update on the film, he said “it’s going to be closer to the source material than before”, however some new story elements will appear in the film, mostly to surprise fans of the comic.

New casting announcements will also be confirmed soon, the director added.

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For is scheduled for an October 4, 2013 release.
